The Princess Who Loved Her Father Like Salt
In a distant kingdom, a king had seven daughters. One day, he asked them how much they loved him. The eldest six compared their love to sweet things, but the youngest daughter said, "Father, I love you as much as salt."
Angered, the king ordered her to be abandoned in the jungle.
Lost and alone, the princess found a grand palace where she discovered a prince covered in needles. She stayed and carefully removed them one by one.
One day, she bought a servant-girl to keep her company. The princess continued pulling out the needles, while the servant took care of the palace.
One day, before going to bathe, the princess warned the servant not to touch the prince’s eyes, as needles remained. But the servant disobeyed, removed the final needles, and when the prince awoke, she took credit for saving him. The prince, believing her, married her, and the real princess was reduced to a servant.
A woodcutter who witnessed the princess’s suffering told the prince the truth. Realizing his mistake, the prince apologized and married the real princess.
At their wedding, the king was served food without salt. Only then did he understand its importance—and his daughter's true love.
